New Web3 Business course drops

RMIT’s newly launched Digital3 has just dropped an exciting and ‘first of its kind’ Web3 business course aptly called ‘Doing Business in Web3’.

This online six week course takes participants through a carefully crafted journey to understand the business models and processes unique to the Web3 industry. The topics are diverse, including strategy, governance, law, token economics and scaling. With this knowledge, learners will be able to develop their own Web3 business models, and understand the risks and rewards of working on the frontiers of these emerging technologies.

Doing Business in web3 online course creator Dr Darcy Allen

Course developer Dr Darcy Allen says that the course curates the knowledge needed to build business models in Web3. “The Web3 stack — including blockchains and smart contracts — fundamentally changes how we do business in a digital economy. This course helps to fill that gap in Web3 business education.”

“All businesses in a digital economy are shaped by the competitive forces of Web3,” continues Dr Allen.

“Web3 has expanded rapidly, and in the process we have discovered new types of business models and strategy. Our new Doing Business in Web3 course and the launch of Digital3, is a key part in educating existing businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups and puts RMIT at the forefront of connecting Web3 research and education.”

The Doing Business in Web3 course is now available through FutureLearn with a continuous start date so new participants can join and start learning at any time – find out more here.
