Digital CBD Roadmap provides clear vision for Melbourne

30 November 2022 - A Digital CBD Roadmap has been released today by RMIT that provides a clear vision for Melbourne to start moving towards a globally influential digital city by as soon as 2023 if funding is prioritised.

The use of web3 tech features in this Roadmap which utilises DAOs, DigitalTwins, NFTs and the metaverse to enable a more efficient and effective #economy while creating a city that is secure, connected and inclusive. 👓🌃

Dr Alexia Maddox from the Digital CBD Project says that the key to Melbourne's status as a fully global digital city is merging our physical and digital experiences into a central built environment, so there is also a big emphasis on digitalskills and governance .

“A digital city is only as good as the infrastructures and the skills of the people who use it, so ensuring that a good secure framework is in place is essential."
