  • Have a background in finance, economics, law or computer science.

  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an international student meeting the minimum English language requirements.

How to apply:

The RMIT PhD and DF CRC scholarship application processes are independent of one another. To be considered for the scholarship you must submit applications to the DF CRC and RMIT in the following order:

  1. Submit your DF CRC application via https://dfcrc.com.au/industry-phd/.

  2. Contact the RMIT Higher Degree by Research Industry Engagement team at hdr.outreach@rmit.edu.au to advise them that you have submitted your DF CRC application.

  3. If your DF CRC scholarship application is successful, submit your formal PhD Expression of Interest to RMIT via
    https://www.rmit.edu.au/research/research-degrees/how-to-apply.

Please note:

  • This scholarship program does not accommodate student-instigated projects. If successful in obtaining a DF CRC scholarship you will be connected with one of the DF CRC members to undertake an industry-based PhD project.

  • The RMIT EoI/application process is independent of the DF CRC scholarship program, and obtaining a DF CRC scholarship does not guarantee you entry into a PhD program with RMIT.
